Newsletter Issue #6: December 2018
Happy holiday season!
It’s that time of the year – time for holiday, for celebrations, for reflection, and also for looking ahead.
In the last of a three-part series focusing on climate change, in this month’s newsletter we have put together a SFi Salon piece featuring the response of industry leaders to COP24 (having just wrapped up in Poland last week) and the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)’s announcement in September that we only have 12 years to keep temperature rising to below 1.5°C . What’s the significance of COP24 and IPCC for Hong Kong investors? Find out more here.
For those who came to our holiday drinks, thank you once again for sharing the beautiful night with us, and also participating in our Climate Ribbons initiative. More photos and sharing of the night can be found here.
Finally, with our last brown bag of the year focused on modern slavery and how investors can do more in the fight against this heinous crime, we are also sharing an op-ed original piece on the topic: Hong Kong should use its financial might to fight human trafficking.
As ESG investing gains momentum around the world, we look forward to continuing exploring how we can deepen impact in relation to both the “E” and “S” with you all. Stay tuned for our January newsletter where we will be sharing more thoughts on how to do so in the New Year as we look back and look forward to trends in sustainable finance!
We hope you enjoy this newsletter, and as always, if you have any comments, feedback or questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear from you.
Enjoy the holidays, and see you in 2019!
