Sustainable Finance and Impact Investment: Whats’ in for Hong Kong
April 7 @ 8:00 am
<span style=”font-family: gothambook;”>The Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice.</span>
<span style=”font-family: gothambook;”>Impact and development investment also challenge the long-held views that social and environmental issues should be addressed only by philanthropy, and that market investments should focus exclusively on achieving financial returns. How do impact and development investments perform financially? From green bonds to climate and social impact bonds to blended finance instrument, what are the mechanisms financing the sustainable development goals and how investors are monitoring and evaluating them? How does Hong Kong position itself in this growing landscape to capture the opportunities and what are the current initiatives taken to bring together private and public investors?</span>
<span style=”font-family: gothambook;”>The session will feature 3 experts in this field : Mr. Rochus Mommartz, CEO of responsAbility Investment AG; Mrs Dominique Duval, Head of Asia Pacific, Sustainable finance and Mrs. Leonie Kelly, Head of Sustainable Finance Initiative Hong Kong.</span>
