Things to look out for include: diversity, relevant and complimentary experience (across sector, expertise), history of working together as a team, alignment of interest etc.
More important to vet fund managers, than the underlying investments “It’s not different to dating and finding a long-term partner!”
Impact measurement is important, but it’s not just about the frameworks. Key is to see if impact is integrated into the strategy and whether “they can talk impact?” (i.e. not just a marketing tool)
It’s important to have clarity about the impact you want to achieve from the outset: the different layers of impact you can make, the risk you are willing to take for such impact, and how willing you are to support the first movers to system-build
Just do it!
BUT also just start investing: take baby steps, learn by doing, and leverage on your peers.
